Many folks are considering a move from the hustle and bustle of city life to the more relaxed pace of the country. There are quaint communities generally within an hour or so drive of most metropolitan areas of Texas.
One county that boasts multiple communities that have wonderful quality of life, great value for the dollar, and plenty of recreation and fun, and still be only an hour from the 'Big-D" (Dallas) is Van Zandt County east of Dallas. With the communities of Canton, Edom, Martins Mill, Edgewood, Wills Point, Van, Ben Wheeler, Grand Saline, and Fruitvale a city dweller has plenty of choices for country living or smaller community life.
